Technical Resource Group (TRG) Certified for MITS Business Intelligence Product

Costa Mesa, Calif.—May 1, 2001—Technical Resource Group (TRG), today announced that it has been certified by Informix to sell and support the MITS Business Intelligence product. According to Kevin Marshall, president of TRG, “We realized that our customers have a valuable asset in their data and possibly, that they are not extracting and are not using this information to the fullest extent. Therefore, we researched the products available for Business Intelligence (BI) and selected the Management Information Tool Software (MITS) product offered from Informix Software. TRG met the necessary requirements and performed the extensive training to become certified—being one of the first resellers to do this through Informix.” Marshall continued, “In order to provide our customers with the highest level of expertise with the MITS product, TRG has expended a great deal of time and resources to become trained and certified with MITS.”

Using MITS, business analysts can improve the way they gather, manage, distribute and analyze data for improved strategic and tactical decision-making. The five major components that comprise the MITS product suite are:

· MitsServer, which runs in the MultiValue environment to process, store and provide access to business intelligence hypercubes.

· MitsSecurity, an optional security layer for MitsServer that provides additional levels of security beyond those, which are offered by the database and operating system. MitsSecurity offers access control at the application, flash screen, functionality and view level. It also lets you control hypercube access by user at the identifier or accumulator level.

· MitsAdmin, a graphical administration tool that manages security configuration, licensing and authorization.

· MitsMaker, a 32-bit Microsoft® Windows®-based graphical front-end tool that enables you to design hypercubes by selecting the source data, establishing data elements for extraction and assignment, and setting the drill-down identifiers, accumulators and data ranges. MitsMaker interfaces with MitsServer to generate and update the hypercubes.

· MitsView – the Windows®-based program that enables MITS output in a GUI environment using Windows-oriented navigation and presentation.

MitsServer is available on UNIX® or 32-bit Windows systems that support a variety of MultiValue databases including: UniData™ and UniVerse™; D3, mv.BASE and mv.ENTERPRISE from Raining Data; and jBASE. The MITS clients—MitsAdmin, MitsMaker and MitsView—are available for the 32-bit Windows client environment.

Because MITS runs in a MultiValue database environment, installation and implementation of the analytic application is fast and cost-effective.
